Arbres braisés, arbres bagués, arbres serpents corail
Au bois du Butard dans la fraicheur du soir
Taches rouges du couchant sur les troncs dressés
Et la rêverie s’enflamme quand les arbres glissent
En sinuosités sur les feuilles mortes
Especially at this time of year, I see tiny spots of bright sunlight. For a very few weeks in June and a bit of July, the sun is as far north as it can be. It finds tiny slivers in curtains, or normally hidden reflective things to bounce off of. There was one little spot of sunlight-- the size of a coin-- on an otherwise dark stair this morning, and I had to stop what I was doing to try to figure out where the light was coming from.
